Full Time Job
Title: AV Engineer
Department: AV & Production
Reports To: VP, A/V & Production
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Capsule Position Description: The candidate will report to and work closely with the VP, A/V & Production in setting up, operating and maintaining the in-house audio and video broadcast equipment for all events. The position is Full-Time and the candidate can expect to work days, nights, weekends and holidays as assigned. Assisting other departments with their projects, presentations and events will be a primary function of this position.
Key Responsibility Areas (KRA's):
• Responsible for overseeing the setup, operation and maintenance of a wide variety of AV equipment including: cameras, monitors, video switchers, character generators, audio mixers, microphones, recording devices, routers, cables, IPTV systems and other AV equipment as assigned.
• Work in a fast paced environment while maintaining focus and the ability to work closely with both staff and the public.
• Working without direct supervision with the ability to organize, execute and complete projects as assigned in a timely and efficient manner is required.
• Work in partnership with other departments and clients to develop and deliver AV services that will meet and exceed expectations.
• Manage, monitor and install audio and video systems and troubleshoot problems for all arena events.
• Interface with clients to manage their audio and video needs.
• Manage control room and cable infrastructure of the arena.
• Order, replace, and repair triax, fiber, coax, and XLR cable.
• Manage audio and video signal flow to detect and solve problems in a fast paced and high pressure environment.
Qualifications:
• Maintains composure and professionalism during stressful and fast paced live event coverage.
• Exhibits discretion and professionalism when working with celebrities and professional sports figures.
• Responsive to changes and gives high priority to service and customer satisfaction.
• Develops constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintains them over time.
• Able to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive or proprietary information and exercise discretion.
• Familiar with broadcast standards and formats for recording, editing and streaming.
• Associates degree (AA/AS) from two-year College or certificate from Technical Institute in Broadcast Engineering or related field and 2 years' experience in the field; or
• Minimum 5 years' experience in the Broadcast Engineering field.
• Computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft and MAC systems.

• Required to spend as much as 75% of their time on their feet and 25% sitting.
• Lifting objects weighing as much as 60 pounds is required.
• The candidate will be required to occasionally perform other duties outside of their normal job description as necessary and as assigned.
• Flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings, some holidays and some overtime to meet business needs.
• Ability to climb ladders and ability to walk on catwalk 90 feet above the ground level and other extreme heights.
• Exposed to very loud noises.
