Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Executive Assistant to work directly for CEO Julia Verdin. The ideal candidate will be passionate about talent management and indie film production, with strong technical skills and the ability to edit content. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with industry professionals, manage administrative tasks, and contribute to the creative process. The CEO is also the founder of filmmaking non-profit Artists For Change and the candidate will also be involved with handling tasks related as well.
Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to the CEO, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and handling correspondence.
Assist with talent management tasks such as talent scouting, pitching clients for roles, scheduling auditions, and coordinating talent contracts.
Coordinate film production logistics, including organizing shoot schedules, booking locations, and managing equipment rentals.
Utilize strong technical skills to edit content, including trailers, promotional materials, and other video assets.
Assist with social media management, including content creation and scheduling posts.
Conduct research on industry trends, potential projects, and emerging talent.
Handle general office management duties, such as ordering supplies and maintaining filing systems.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in film, communications, or a related field preferred.
Previous experience in talent management, film production, or a related field is a plus.
Previous experience in script coverage and knowledge of Final Draft is necessary.
Strong technical skills, including proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) and knowledge of Movie Magic budgeting and scheduling.
Knowledge of Excel and ability to handle basic accounting and financial tasks.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Passion for the entertainment industry and a desire to support emerging talent.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
Must be tech-savvy and comfortable learning new software and tools.
Salary/Benefits
$18.00 - 20.00 per hour
