Rolling Stone is seeking an established brand partnership professional with a digital-first, content-driven strategy and experiences background for Rolling Stone’s New York-based team. The Director of Brand Partnerships will sell integrated programs and lead partnership efforts across our digital, video, social, live events, and print platforms.
The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter who has relationships with key Finance, Tech, and CPG clients, deep digital/social/experiential experience, excellent communication and presentation skills, a creative thinker, and an energetic seller who is confident and comfortable calling on all levels at both the client and the agency level.
Rolling Stone, an iconic storytelling platform, works closely with partners to bring their brand message to life through photos, videos, live events & custom content. The sales team works closely with marketing, events & branded content studio to ideate and deliver best-in-class programs integrating brand voice into authentic Rolling Stone edit features. Success comes from creative thinking, problem-solving, and a deep understanding of clients, product categories, industry trends, audience insights, and user behaviors.
Requirements:
• 6-8 years of digital-first sales experience with proven ability to close at a high rate
• Relationships with agency and brand side clients in key verticals, including Finance, Tech, CPG
• Ability to create big ideas and drive sales across all platforms
• Ability to call on all stakeholders, including client, agency, social and PR teams
• Approach clients with a solution-based approach
• Ability to grow business and develop new revenue and product opportunities
• Perform well in a competitive and collaborative environment
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong negotiation and presentation skills a must
• Must be flexible and move with a high sense of urgency when opportunities strike
• Be proactive and prepare proposals via the RFP process
• Maintain constant contact with client before, during, and after the sale to establish and positively manage/grow the business relationship
Typical wage range: $170k - $200k plus quarterly paid commission for achieving specific revenue targets. Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role. The typical candidate is hired below midpoint of the range. The total compensation package for this position will also include other elements, a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits including 401(k) eligibility and paid time off benefits. PMC is committed to the health and wellness of our employees. As part of our company-wide rollout of PMC’s paid healthcare plan, effective for this role July 1, 2025, the company will pay 100% of the monthly health, dental and vision plan premiums for the employee and their family.
