Role Description: The Experienced Entertainment Paymaster is a full-time remote role responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processes for entertainment productions. Regular tasks will include reviewing and processing timecards through the Hours-To-Gross payroll system, verifying and producing payroll reports; ensuring compliance with union and guild agreements, state and federal labor laws, and company policies; and coordinating with production teams to resolve discrepancies and answer payroll-related questions. The role also includes, preparing payroll and benefits audits and will be working with all departments to support daily processing but also continued company growth. We want your thoughts and ideas. The Experienced Entertainment Paymaster also communicates directly with clients and talent representatives, providing clear guidance on pay calculations, deductions, and schedules while delivering consistent, professional service.
Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of the Entertainment Industry and Entertainment payroll practices, including union and non-union production.
Solid understanding of labor laws, tax regulations, and union/guild agreements related to entertainment payroll is essential.
Effective Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication with clients, colleagues, and talent representatives.
Experience with client-facing service, demonstrating the ability to build relationships, manage expectations, and support client needs.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple deadlines, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
College degree preferred, not essential.
Previous experience essential.
