Our traditional and social media campaigns build brand awareness, engage celebrities and digital influencers, increase consumer and fan engagement, support small and large scale events and promote product / service launches. The agency builds creative, cross-discipline teams to support brand initiatives for a diverse roster of clients in the fashion, beauty, gaming, technology, consumer electronics, food, beverage, retail and social entertainment industries.
Rogers & Cowan has offices in Los Angeles, New York, Nashville, Atlanta and South Florida.
Currently, our Los Angeles office has an opening for a Senior Account Executive within its Convergence Department.
Client Service/Liaison
• Serve as key day-to-day client contact
• Develop client budgets
• Manage multiple projects for various clients from concept to completion on time and within budget
• Proactively generate new ideas and opportunities to ensure client program success
• Provide client counsel on tactical matters, linked to strategic plans
• Conduct and manage the flow of research necessary to analyze client issues Participate in client meetings
• Develop client presentations and results reports
Media Relations
• Draft media relations materials
• Qualify media inquires
• Pitch clients to top-tier and other targeted/relevant media
• Generate ideas for media outreach and pitch efforts
• Develop knowledge of and participate in relevant trade shows and conferences Manage speaker's bureau activities to present client company executives for speaking opportunities
• Manage external vendors supporting client programs (wire distribution, event services, etc.)
Writing
• Develop proposals, press releases, case studies, bylined articles and other press materials
• Proof and edit client related documents
• Coach and instruct supporting staff in the areas of writing and editing as necessary Contribute to the development of strategic client plans
Team Participation
• Continually update manager on progress of activities
• Serve as a role model to other team members
• Contribute to work plan of junior team members
• Contribute to peer and junior team member performance review reports
• Help train junior team members on variety of public relations tactics
• Actively participate in agency development and assist with new business
• Talk intelligently about agency at internal and external meeting and industry functions
• Attend agency staff meetings and group meetings Involved in team staffing decisions, including reviewing resumes and interviewing candidates
Administrative Support
• Cross-reference, approve, and forward invoices to the
• Accounting Department
• Supervise reports on monthly client billing process
• Track/enter time with precision and on a day-to-day basis
• Assist in account budgeting recommendations
• Perform other administrative tasks as assigned
Qualifications
• Experience working in an agency setting to support B2B, Entertainment and Lifestyle clients/accounts. Background in publicity around health/wellness services, technologies and products would be very helpful.
• Be versatile with ability to pitch and secure coverage within trade media, mainstream regional and national business media, lifestyle media and vertical interest bloggers
• Versatile, with ability to take any situation, analyze, craft news angles and draft appropriate pitching materials.
• Able to write, pitch, and document interaction with media to create client update reports
• Possess current journalist contacts and proven ability to place stories and product coverage Adept in media outreach and pitching reporters via phone, email and social media methods
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Strong time management and organization skills, with ability to multi-task across multiple client accounts
• Ability to deliver PR strategy and big ideas for both style-focused and consumer brands
• Exceptional writing abilities and experience drafting press releases, product one-sheets and pitches
• Strong presence in meetings; participated in internal, client, partner and/or new business presentations
• New business cultivation abilities
