Currently, our Los Angeles, CA office is seeking an entry level AR Clerk with at least 1 year of work experience. This is a great opportunity to join a global PR firm. Ideal candidates have strong communication skills, intermediate experience utilizing Outlook and Excel programs. Bachelor's degree is preferred, prior finance or accounting experience helpful, but not required.

Responsibilities:

Contact clients who have balances over 30 days past due
Maintain client contact information and contract details in MS outlook
Call new clients and complete due diligence to ensure invoices are going to the correct location and person
Provide completed W-9 forms when requested
Send out past due notices monthly
Reconcile client accounts as needed
Prepare statements of account as needed.
Generate weekly AR report package with updated notes for past due balances to the CFO
Generate Bi-monthly and monthly AR reports to the Executive PR Staff with updated notes for twenty-three departments
Prepare files for the collection agencies or attorneys when clients default on payment
Pull necessary documents for arbitration/legal
Process request for client settlements/credits/write-offs
Ensure the refund of deposits for accounts that have ended monthly and checks received have remittance information
Copy checks received and send to the lockbox
