Title: Analytics/Information Technology/Data Entry Intern
Department: Merchandise
Reports Directly To: Merchandise Manager
The Merchandise Intern position plays an integral role in the retail operations of Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium's Official Team Store during Spring Training. This department covers all retail management throughout the stadium. The Internship position will exercise managerial duties on a consistent and regular basis and gain valuable knowledge and experience in business operations management.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Responsible for all aspects of retail operations at the stadium, including:
• Developing a full understanding of the Point-of-Sale System (RetailPro)
• Working with in-house IT and RetailPro IT for the set-up of various POS locations
• Supervision and Coaching of seasonal/part-time game day staff (up to 30 people)
• Daily monitoring and problem-solving of sales during games
• Operating a sales location to complete POS transactions on an as-needed basis
• End of Day reporting for all on-site sales
• End of Day restocking for sales locations
• Data Research of transactions with discrepancies
• Maintaining visual merchandising standards
• Entering products into inventory management systems
• Assisting other departments within Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium as needed
Qualifications
• Customer service – both internal and external
• Detail-oriented with keen organizational skills.
• Must be willing to work long hours and weekends in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Must have availability to work all Marlins and Cardinals Spring Training games.
• Able to lift up to 50lbs, stand for long periods of time, bend, squat, kneel, push, pull, and lift items as necessary.
• Knowledge of RetailPro is preferred but not required.
Salary: Florida Minimum Wage
Start Date: January 5, 2024 End Date: April 30, 2024
