Are you a multi-talented musician looking for a new role where you can teach and perform on a daily basis? If so, we would like to hear from you! We are currently seeking a talented and inspiring Rock Choir Leader to take over existing choirs in Cambridge, Huntingdon & St Neots. You will be joining the UK's largest and most popular contemporary choir, with nearly 25000 members led by musicians like you in over 300 local communities nationwide.
As a Rock Choir Leader, you should possess fantastic piano and vocal skills with the ability to teach at the same time. You will be organised, reliable, charismatic, energetic and able to work both alone and as part of our world leading musical team. Full training is provided so you can apply even if you have not run a choir before.
The role of a Rock Choir Leader is versatile encompassing teaching, performing, leading, conducting, planning and administration. It is very fulfilling and rewarding but hard work! Choir rehearsals take place in term time evenings and mornings with events and performances taking place inside and outside that timetable. There are many opportunities for the Rock Choir Leaders to perform on TV, Radio and on stage at large pop-concerts including The London O2, Wembley Arena and The NEC Arena. There is a supportive and friendly HQ team who organise events, marketing, training, resources and create all the musical arrangements and resources you will need.
You will need a driving licence, your own car, a keyboard and PA system.
Here is a quote about the role from one of our choir leaders - ''I really enjoy working as choir leader. I work with a great team of people, have lots of fun and I am very proud of the choirs I teach, who in a very short space of time have come together to make a fantastic sound. The job satisfaction with this role is tremendous.'' Jan Moll (Hampshire Rock Choir Leader)
