Roadrunner was launched in 1980 as ''Roadrunner Records'' in the Netherlands. Initialy Roadruner’s business was importing North American metal-band recordings into Europe. In the late 80’s Roadrunner opened offices in places such as Unnited Kigdom, Germany , France , Japan ,Australia, Denmark, Canda and in their current headquarters,the United States. There earliest successes included albums from King Diamond and Annihilator. The label was also responsible for early realeses by Mettalica albums that are now considered classics of their respective genres. Later, Roadrunner acquired numerous popular acts such as Nickelback, Life in Agony, Machine Head, Suffocation and Type O Negative. In the year of 2008, Roadrunner was voted the “Best Metal Labe “ by Metal Hammer at their Golden Gods Awards and presently, this label continues to mange successful Metal bands/artists including Kiss, Alter Bridge, Slipknot, Devildriver, Rob Zombie, Soulfly, Within Temptation and many more. While interning at Roadrunner Records, students will get the opportunity to learn about their own strengths and interests, and will have a prospect to develop networking skills, which are all vital tools in establishing a future career.
