Role Overview
We are seeking a sharp, nimble Event Producer (Contract) to lead the on-the-ground execution of a multi-city global tour, screenings, premieres, and community events for our newest film acquisition-a visually bold, politically resonant work centered on Black audiences and enclaves around the world. This is a tactical, hands-on production role. You'll manage venues, run-of-show timelines, guest coordination, partner logistics, and all on-site needs to ensure each IRL activation is seamlessly produced and deeply impactful. You'll work closely with the internal team, community producer, and agency collaborators to bring each event to life with precision and cultural care.
Key Responsibilities
Tour & Screening Event Production: Own production logistics for all campaign events, including premieres, press screenings, F&F shows, university/community activations, and touring stops across major cities. This includes overseeing a team of local production managers for events.
Venue & Vendor Coordination: Secure and manage relationships with venues, A/V teams, security, caterers, photographers, ticketing platforms, and other third-party vendors.
Run-of-Show & Scheduling: Build and circulate show flows, call times, guest arrival schedules, and staffing documents to keep everything aligned before, during, and after each event.
Talent & Guest Coordination: Support talent and VIP logistics, including travel, greenroom coordination, escorting, and onsite needs.
On-the-Ground Execution: Lead or support onsite setup and breakdown for events; manage teams on-site to execute vision, stay on time, and respond to any day-of shifts.
Collaboration Across Departments: Work in sync with the community manager, marketing lead, and creative team to ensure cohesion across digital and real-world components of the campaign.
Ideal Qualifications
5-10 years of experience in event production or cultural programming (film, fashion, music, or social impact a plus)
Strong history of producing live events with talent, partners, and community stakeholders
Exceptional organizational and communication skills-able to keep multiple events and teams aligned across timelines
Experience producing within or for Black-led, artist-driven, or global cultural spaces
Calm, confident presence onsite; strong at anticipating needs and solving problems in real time
Willingness to travel and work flexible hours for premieres and activations
Work Structure & Location
Location: Remote/Flexible with required travel to event locations
Term: Contract through the end of the campaign (est. 4-5 months)
Travel: Yes - travel to all tour stops and major screenings/premieres required
