Intern - Music Publishing and Royalties

This is a Part Time Paid Internship

Description: Reservoir Media Management is looking for interns for the SPRING 2011 semester and is interviewing now. This internship will provide valuable real-world experience in the areas of music publishing and royalties.

Interns will be involved in various day-to-day operations throughout the publishing company. They will have the opportunity to contribute and participate along side tenured music industry professionals. Reservoir’s internship program goal is to provide our interns with a meaningful and educational experience while also providing real hands-on knowledge that is valuable in preparing for a professional career in the entertainment industry.

Duties:
•Process royalty payments and statements using Counterpoint, ensuring royalty reports are uploaded, matched accurately, and prepared in a timely manner
•Research song information – composer, publisher, shares using ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, HFA, CMRRA, and international societies
•Research mechanical shares and releases to ensure reporting and payment of royalties
•Review royalty statements rendered by various licensees

Requirements: Candidates must be college juniors, seniors or graduate students enrolled in a Music Business or related program. Strong organizational, analytical and multi-tasking skills are necessary. Dependability and commitment is essential. Must be available three days a week; stipend available.
