WHAT'S COOL ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY:
PAX is a celebration of all things gaming, held each year in San Antonio, Boston, Seattle and Philadelphia. At each show, PAX is a place for communities to gather and celebrate video games, tabletop games, RPGs, gaming culture and the gaming industry. The Brand Marketing Manager is responsible for the creation and execution of the overall PAX marketing and publicity plans in order to create awareness in the market and drive attendance for the shows. Ideal candidates must be passionate marketers with a true love for brand storytelling and building lifelong connections with an audience. You'll have the opportunity to build marketing plans that cover traditional, new media, guerilla and 'word of mouth' marketing for our highly passionate audiences. You will also lead design and production across a variety of projects including advertisements, digital campaigns, OOH advertising, posters, logos, event signage, infographics and so much more. We are looking for a talented marketer who is enthusiastic about games as a medium and excited about engaging the communities that love gaming culture.
BRING YOUR PASSION AND EXPERTISE:
• Develop and execute the vision and plan for the marketing, brand identity and on site experience for the PAX Portfolio based on overall event strategy put forth by the Event Director
• Develop, track and maintain a comprehensive yearly marketing budget for all 5 domestic events
• Track status, progress and measure key metrics (ROI and KPIs) of all marketing initiatives
• Development and execution a comprehensive paid and organic social media plan focused on attendee acquisition and driving high levels of customer interaction
• Responsible for or managing the: writing, designing, deploying and tracking email marketing; creating social media assets and day-to-day manage of social media accounts; developing and managing the mobile app;
• Work with the Event Director and Operations team to create and design a comprehensive show signage plan
• Manage all aspects of mobile app development, updates and marketing
• Manage digital marketing asset creation, delivery and strategy
• Work with outside photo and video contractors to create, develop and then distribute compelling video and photographic content for our social channels and websites
• Develop marketing and promotional partnerships in local markets and surrounding markets in order to drive awareness and generate ticket sales
• research, outreach and asset creation for media buys for print, OOH and digital marketing;
• Proactively seek out the newest trends in marketing, communication and advertising and recommend how to incorporate them into our plans in order to help us reach our audience acquisition and retention goals
• Work with PR agency to identify and leverage media opportunities and publish effective and timely media alerts
• Ensure all messaging and imagery represents our PAX portfolio and Reedpop positively and authentically
• Create and cultivate a "one team" approach through collaboration with event management, sales, registration, operations, creative designer and talent/content, as well as Penny Arcade as needed
• Maintain an eye for detail and quality on projects big and small, while communicating with the team to meet deadlines
THE REQUIREMENTS:
• College degree in Marketing or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 4+ years marketing consumer products, B2B and B2C marketing, event marketing or relevant and related experience required
• Must be comfortable building marketing plans for B2B and B2C audiences with strong experience in digital marketing, consumer insights, social platforms, brand positioning and marketing analytics
• Strong copy writing skills are required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional level knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
• Strong understanding of all social media platforms, including but not limited to YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, Tik Tok and Twitter – both as a marketer and as a user
• Must be highly collaborative with a ''We'' not ''Me'' mentality.
• Organized, detail oriented & proactive with a strong sense of ownership and a true passion for pop culture, fan communities and the brands we work with
• We are looking for a creative thinker and a problem solver – someone who can deliver innovative marketing plans that fans will love and also be capable of executing them
• Resourceful and willing to find creative solutions that will help you achieve your goals

• Some domestic and possibly international travel is required. Approximately 6-8 times per year
