WHAT'S COOL ABOUT THIS JOB:
C2E2 is one of the fastest growing pop culture conventions in the United States. It also happens to take place in downtown Chicago! What could be cooler than that? The Brand Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the execution of the overall marketing, promotion, social media, publicity and digital advertising plans in order to create awareness in the market, build an audience and drive attendance for the show. Ideal candidates must be passionate marketers with a true love for brand storytelling, digital marketing and audience acquisition. You'll have the opportunity to build marketing plans that cover digital, social, traditional, guerilla and 'word of mouth' marketing. You will also help design and produce a variety of marketing initiatives including advertisements, posters, logos, event signage, infographics and much more. We are looking for someone that will really understand and embrace the city of Chicago and the fans that live there! A passion for great pizza will also come in very handy in this role!
BRING YOUR PASSION AND EXPERTISE:
• Develop a vision and plan for the marketing, brand identity and on site experience for C2E2
• Development, implementation and daily execution of a comprehensive social media plan
• Responsible for driving traffic, conversion and ROI for all acquisition channels by optimizing spend across all channels to achieve ticket sales goals
• Identify target audiences and create compelling digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate fans
• Manage mobile app development, updates and marketing
• Manage digital marketing asset creation, delivery and strategy
• Responsible for writing, designing and deploying weekly newsletters
• Regularly update copy, images and announcements on the C2E2 website and all social media channels
• Create and edit compelling video and photographic content
• Develop marketing partnerships in the local market and surrounding markets in order to drive awareness and ticket sales for C2E2
• Create and cultivate a ''one team'' approach through collaboration with event management, sales, operations and talent/content
• Proactively seek out the newest trends in communication vehicles (Mobile Apps, Social Media, Digital Media, etc.) and recommend how to incorporate the latest trends successfully into our marketing plans
• Ensure all messaging and imagery represents C2E2 and ReedPOP positively and authentically
• Help build and maintain a brand voice and tone, ensuring consistency across all platforms
• Conduct focus groups, meet ups and ongoing research to better understand the fans in Chicago
• Collaborate with outside agency partners as needed
• Track status, progress and ROI of all marketing campaigns
• Maintain an eye for detail and quality on projects big and small, while communicating with the team to meet deadlines
THE REQUIREMENTS:
• College degree in Marketing or equivalent business training preferred
• Minimum of 2 years experience in marketing, events, project management or other relevant field
• Experience and knowledge of digital marketing and advertising, including but not limited to social media, blogging, email, display and search marketing
• Knowledge of and/or experience with digital media strategy with a specific focus on audience acquisition, engagement, and conversion
• Must be proficient with Facebook Business Manager, Facebook Ads Manager, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, etc.
• Experience running targeted, high-return ad campaigns, specifically on Facebook is preferred
• Strong copy writing skills are required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and After Effects
• Knowledge of video editing software is a plus
• Professional level knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Organized, detail oriented & proactive with a strong sense of ownership and a true passion for pop culture, fan communities and our brands
• Ability to multi-task, shift priorities and focus on finding solutions
• Must be highly collaborative with a ''We'' not ''Me'' mentality
