Graphic Designer and Animator

Over 90 million households across the US tune in regularly to QVC. As a Graphic Designer for QVC, your designs receive national viewership on a regular basis! That's pretty incredible when you think about it. QVC has an immediate need for a Graphic Designer at our Corporate Headquarters in West Chester, PA.

The Graphic Designer uses an arsenal of industry leading 2D and 3D software. Our toy box includes Autodesk Maya and 3D Studio Max, Adobe CS5- After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere Pro. We also use ZBrush, RealFlow, Painter and VIZ Artist to enhance our designs.

The Graphic Designer:
• conceives and creates broadcast graphics using computer-based programs.
• collaborates with Video Producers, Selling Strategies, VIdeo Editors and creative execution team on graphic needs for promos, show opens, stings, specialized presentations, seasonal and holiday graphics.
• facilitates the creative continuity of QVC's corporate branding standards including composition and design, color, compositing and animations.

Requirements:
• BA in Graphic Arts, Graphic Design, Art or related field.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years experience as a graphic artist or designer required, along with a background in typography design.
• Experience in motion design for television, design for print and interactive communications is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in 3D animation programs highly desirable.
• Completion of 3D training (3D Studio Max or Maya) strongly preferred and strong Adobe Af Effects experience is required.
• Experience with Mac & PC platforms.
• Experience with VIZ RT graphics display systems desired.
• Understanding of video production, competency in operating video tapedecks, video printers and familiarity with broadcast legal colors and standards required.
• Strong typography design preferred.
