OVERVIEW
Quintessentially Media is looking for outgoing, self-starters that are savvy, conscientious and entrepreneurial to work at our agency. We are currently seeking an Account Manager to join the team. Working on a new client that has global footprint and in the top 5 of most valuable brands, the ideal candidate is a team player that brings experience, passion, and quick thinking to a fast growing team of professionals. This role will report directly to the Account Director
The role of Acct Manager at Q Media is first and foremost to assist the Account Director in delivering Executional Excellence for our clients. From strategic brand ideation to daily operational oversight, the Account Manager is there to ensure that the logistics & day to day operations are being executed and managed. Candidates for this role are judged on five separate criteria.
1. Detail Oriented - we prize big picture thinking here, but are firmly in the belief that big ideas are created by small details. By anticipating all the tiny, wonderful features that accompany any great experience the Quintessentially Brand has been turned into an international presence known the world over for it's discerning attention to the finest detail. It is in this spirt that we
strive to deliver true concierge-style client management for our clients.
2. Fast On Your Feet - Service is now measured in nano-seconds, not minutes, not hours, and certainly not days. The ability to prioritize, delegate, execute and follow through without delay is what will continue to separate our product offering from any one else who enters our space. Furthermore, it is what will continue to keep our clients loyal to us through any missteps we
will inevitably make.
3. Strategic - Our clients could spend their money with any number of partners. What they are looking for are smart business solutions to achieve their marketing objectives. By supplying them with a constant stream of intelligent, proactive ways to address challenges they face, we secure our place in their budget year after year.
4. Interpersonal Skills - At the level of Account Manager, we are looking for exceptional ''soft skills'' such as the ability to read the emotional timbre of a client, graciously deal with unpleasant conversations and productively represent the entire corporation in the public eye. We are in the business of relationships-trust, candor and a sterling reputation are our currency. We want our partners, clients and vendors to collectively desire to spend as much time with us as possible, because they feel they are rewarded in spirit, intelligence and character when they do. Our growth depends on it.
5. Leadership - There are few more demanding (or more nuanced) skills than the art of leadership. We know that our future growth is dependent on the constant education of the junior employees we bring into our operation. It therefore becomes invaluable that our mid-level managers demonstrate first rate ability to marshall resources, delegate appropriately, discipline
fairly and constructively build the next level or talent so that they may continue to grow to senior executives.
DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
Clients daily operational needs, status calls and regular reporting (as dictated by client need) are essential components to successful Account Management. Fiscal oversight, accurate record of scopes of work, manpower allocation and vendor relationship and billing as well as the timely delivery of agency objectives are all areas of attention when it comes top performance review.
LONG TERM RESPONSIBILITIES
Help develop our client relationships by incremental growth of business through strategically solving their current and futurebusiness challenges. Help set the course for achieving their objectives and work closely with analytics to track progress.
KEY COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS
Word, Excel, PowerPoint proficient - PowerPoint skills are a must in this position
Excellent attention to detail
Proven leadership skills and the ability to inspire and grow teams
Good understanding of social media and PR
• Has thorough knowledge of market research, trends, competitive information, literature
Budget management and financial planning
Account Management : At least 6 proven years agency and or account management experience in communications/pr or marketing
