DESCRIPTION:
We’re looking for a Payroll + Benefits Administrator to join our HR team! From making sure paychecks land on time to managing the perks that keep our team happy and thriving, you’ll be the go-to person for all things payroll and benefits. This role will be performed remotely from the United States. The salary range for this position is $55-65k depending on experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Will include but are not limited to;
Payroll Processing
• Process bi-weekly US payroll in Justworks including hourly, salary and freelance employees.
• Assist with the preparation and approval of global payrolls (Germany + UK).
• Maintain payroll information by sending & collecting timesheets, obtaining approvals and entering data.
• Handle all changes in payroll systems such as new hires, promotions, scheduling bonuses and terminations.
• Manage 401k enrollments and changes including the bi-weekly uploads for 401k and loan repayments.
• Prepare payroll reports as needed, assist with payroll audits and resolve payroll-related issues.
• Keep all payroll files up-to-date and organized.
• Stay up-to-date with federal, state, and local payroll laws and ensure compliance.
Benefits Administration
• Administer employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, disability, life insurance, and other voluntary benefits.
• Handle all employee benefit enrollments, terminations, and changes.
• Work closely with vendors and brokers to ensure smooth administration of benefit plans.
• Assist with annual open enrollment and benefit renewal processes.
HR Admin
• Assist with New Hire Orientation in relation to payroll/benefits.
• Support the onboarding and offboarding process with regards to payroll setup and benefit enrollment/termination.
• Respond to employee questions regarding payroll, deductions, and benefits.
• Educate employees on benefit options and provide guidance during enrollment periods.
• Ensure all necessary documentation is stored and filed properly.
• Assist with HR projects and other HR administrative duties as needed.
EXPERIENCE + QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in payroll processing and benefits administration.
• Strong knowledge of payroll/HRIS systems (Justworks & BambooHR preferred) and benefits platforms.
• Familiarity with payroll and benefits regulations, including FLSA, FMLA, COBRA, and ACA.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Workplace.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Salary/Benefits
$55,000.00
- 65,000.00
per year
