Hi BrownsteinPR is looking for a part time/freelance to FULL TIME media coordinator. The person ideally would be based in Los Angeles or New York. This is to work on existing celebrity clientele as well as authors, political experts, tech, and LBGTQ initiatives. It is a boutique agency and you would work directly for the owner of the firm, so would need to be creative, resourceful, self-motivated, and be on the top of your game.
Our ideal candidate has already spent one year (1) working in a boutique agency setting where they were exposed and involved with all aspects of the PR agency business. This person will be book smart, street smart, have critical thinking skills and want to expand their knowledge while contributing their level best expertise to the existing clientele. We are motivated, we are eager and we are veterans in the industry with access to everyone to get the job done and more. If you can contribute your weight you will properly trained towards a very successful career in the industry.
MUSTS:
- Must have Cision - at least a year. Under your Belt. Making Press Lists, curating them with online research to set campaigns up for success
- Know how to do Briefings or POV's, Where you research and advise the team on media outlets
- Can do presentations in Photoshop with ease, and are a avid Canva User
- Will have experience in setting appointments, keeping a calendar, coordinating interviews, and doing media research - we use Office 365
- Will have experience either using ASANA, or MICROSOFT TEAMS
- Must know how to research press hits, know the difference between an item, review or mention or feature, and be able to identify it in your daily media monitoring
- Will be poised, able to work mostly unattended as WFH makes it difficult for traditional training.
EXTRAS: great writer, who can proof grammar, and spelling, Who can help write blogs for the company Web site, help with pursuing new business and terrific social media person.
This is going to become a full-time job. However, with COVID we also realize that these technical skills will be the difference between success or failure in the position. The onboarding process has changed; so although we will teach you how to be the best publicist you can be, we can't teach you the technical requirements that will allow you to succeed in the position.
