PRStudio USA a boutique public relations firm working with talent and experts in Los Angeles and New York.
We are seeking a PUBLICITY COORDINATOR/JUNIOR PUBLICIST to work with the firm. We are open to looking at different levels of experience for the role as we believe that the right person can jump in. We encourage experienced applicants who are currently working at a top agency as an assistant and have been there at year to apply (shorter time as coordinator, promotion in 6 months) as well as recent College Graduates ONLY with Applicable Experience. 40 hours a week, plus some nights and weekends for events and press junkets. Must live in Los Angeles are and have a reliable car, cell phone and laptop.
Tremendous GROWTH POTENTIAL
Our candidate has the following skill set:
- Expert at Photoshop or InDesign. Full command of the Adobe Suite is preferred.
- Knows how to make Cision Lists and create media spread sheets using Excel
- Has used Microsoft Outlook, proficiently, in entering contacts, creating calendar invites and managing a calendar
- Knows the ins and outs of Powerpoint and Word to be able to create press kits, mail merges etc
- Organized, very detail oriented, strong and creative writer for bios, pitch letters, itineraries etc
- Taken PR courses, and has written bios, pitch letters and planned mocked campaigns
IF YOU ALSO KNOW SOCIAL MEDIA, AND MAKING VIDEOS AND POSTING IS A PLUS BUT NOT REQUIRED
Our Coordinator will be the glue holding us together. We mean superglue ! Our perfect candidate can manage a busy calendar of client appointments with ease, keep a busy executive organized in scheduling clients interviews and photo sessions, write draft pitch letters and bios, as well as use their photoshop and powerpoint skills to create killer press kits using our templates. Our candidate can take direction and be able to apply that direction towards procedures and processes at the company, understands deadlines, can admit to when he/she makes a mistake and come up with solutions to fix it, can roll with the punches and understand that PR is sometimes about putting out fires and that no day is the same. This is a very exciting position and it has tremendous growth potential. We would like to be able to nurture this candidate into becoming a full fledged publicist and he/she will assist us in reaching out to new business, doing research, attending related functions and the like.
