Entertainment and Advocacy Public Relations and Communications Strategy firm seek Junior Publicist/Communications Coordinator
THIS IS REMOTE. WOULD PREFER PERSON TO RESIDE IN CALIFORNIA HOWEVER, WOULD CONSIDER OTHER STATES WHERE CLIENTS ARE BASED. (CALIFORNIA, DC, TRI STATE AREA, TEXAS)
The firm represents high-level impact clients, activists, advocacy, policy, and volunteer-run organizations as it relates to Hollywood, Women's Rights, LBGTQ, and more. We also have some A-list actors on our roster who work with us for both their publicity campaigns to celebrate their work as an actor, producer, director, or writer, and their social causes. We are also experts working with international clients on their cross over campaigns.
We do a full scope of communication strategy and tactics, rapid response comms work, action events, coalition building, internal and external comms for different advocacy organizations, as well as film and television publicity campaigns, long and short lead media relations, awards campaigns, appearances, endorsements and more. We are also content creators working with our clients to produce opportunities for them from live IG shows that can get turned into television pilots, script and film development, partnerships and more
We are a modest size firm and looking to grow quickly to keep up with the growing needs of our clients.
With that, we are seeking a Junior Publicist to run day-to-day/ logistics and project coordination and management on 3 - 4 clients. Will work directly with an assistant and the partner on these accounts. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: daily media monitoring, competitive tracking, media engagement and outreach, interview coordination, press kits, media grids, meeting notes, monthly milestone status reports and UVM reports/hit reports for clients. Sitting in on weekly comm strategy meetings, engaging with the clients, take ownership of this piece of the account with excitement and earnestness.
Must have:
- Publicity or Public Relations experience or transferrable based low to mid-level project management experience
- Microsoft Office 365 Expertise - Sharepoint, Dropbox for Business, Slack, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook etc
- Strong Writer
- Experience with logistics that can relate to interviews, itineraries, memos, media monitoring and critical eye for the news cycle
- Cision/Muckrack expertise, to make media lists
- Political Science, Psychology, Women's Studies, or PR/Comms background or Major in School to have learned basics
- Good with Numbers
- Strong organizational skills
- Natural Leadership Skills/Presentation Skills
Looking for someone with 1-2 years experience working in the ''world'', however will consider a college graduate with the right credentials to transferable credentials.
