Part Time Unpaid Internship
Prophecy Girl Films is hiring a Social Media and Marketing Intern to assist in social media marketing for Prophecy Girl Films.
Duration and Location:
The Social Media & Marketing Intern will be required to work approximately 20 hours a week. The position begins in late January 2017 and will end on May 15th 2017.
The internship will take place in Los Angeles, CA. The intern may work from home, and days are flexible, but attending team meetings on one of the allotted days is mandatory. Team meetings are approximately two hours long.
Intern Requirements:
1. Must own a laptop computer.
2. Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program and be able to get school credit for this internship.
3. Must have an interest in social media, public relations and/or marketing.
4. Must have superior written and verbal communication skills.
5. Must be familiar with Google Drive and Microsoft Office.
6. Must be familiar with Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Instagram.
6. If selected, the intern must be prepared to complete the internship, which will end in May.
Internship Duties:
1. Researching articles, comics, memes of interest to post on social media applications.
2. Researching who to follow and who follows back on various social media applications.
3. Assisting with running of all social media applications.
4. Assisting with creation and deployment of newsletters.
5. Researching outreach organizations based on the nature of the project we are promoting.
6. Assisting with content creation for blog posts, website and social media posts.
Mentorship:
The intern will learn valuable information about the entertainment industry, and will receive:
1. Guidance and instruction on how to market for film, television, music, books, and events.
2. Mentorship from Marketing and P.R. executives.
3. Admittance to special events and seminars.
Pay:
This is an unpaid internship. Opportunities for pay may arise in the future on a freelance fee basis.
