Job Summary:
Reporting to the CHRO, the VP, Human Resources is a key HR liaison and senior business partner to our businesses. This is a consultative role working with business leaders of assigned clients within the Valence organization. Critical focus is to ensure HR talent management strategies are aligned with and support the missions and objectives set forth by the business. Provides consultative and advisory services to business leaders on human resource-related issues and through collaborative partnerships. Interfaces directly with various Business leaders and Human Resources specialty partners to identify, develop and implement strategic organizational effectiveness initiatives designed to enhance employee performance, individual engagement and professional development and provide solutions to the business.
Responsibilities:
• Acts as a single point of contact for all HR services delivered to assigned business groups. Builds strong business relationships with business leaders, management, and employees.
• Understands the key drivers of the business and how effective HR can assist with achieving organizational goals.
• Serves as a coach, advisor and change agent within the company, demonstrating the ability to influence, negotiate, and gain commitment at all levels of the organization.
• Consults with and advises business leaders on the implications of short and long-term decisions, strategies, and large-scale change efforts that will yield sustainable business results. Partners with business leaders to assess business needs and bring optimal solutions to the organization.
• Leads and embeds talent management programs into the organization. Partners with business leaders to actively assess staff to identify team strengths and gaps and determine appropriate solutions to bridge gaps and mitigate risks, creating viable internal and external talent pools, development opportunities and succession roadmaps.
• Delivers HR initiatives, programs, and processes to the business including performance management, compensation and headcount planning, talent review and succession management processes.
• Engages HR specialty teams (Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, L&D, HR Operations, etc.) to deliver solutions that address the needs of the business and enable organizational success.
• Manages employee relations issues/concerns within assigned business groups. Partners with CHRO and others as needed, to resolve and manage risk.

• Able to think in terms of systems and processes, and understands the interlocking nature of cause and effect both intra and interdepartmentally, as well as across and between business units and business segments
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Human Resources or related fields required. Advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 8 years' experience in an HRBP or Sr. HR Manager role
• Experience providing HR support in a corporate office environment. Entertainment industry, cable, media or publishing Industry experience highly preferred
• Experience as a strategic advisor and tactical business partner. Broad knowledge of HR practices including organizational diagnosis, change management, employee relations and employment law, compensation and employee rewards, diversity, performance management, talent acquisition, is essential.
• Experience in organizational design and restructures in a corporate environment
• Demonstrated ability to connect business and HR strategies and lead the execution of HR programs into the business
• Must have strong business acumen including track record reflecting active contributions to key business plans and decisions
• Passion for innovative HR solutions and process improvement.
• Must be able to interface with all levels of the organization and build relationships internally and externally
• Demonstrated project management capabilities.
• Self-starter with ability to handle a diverse set of initiatives. Works well in fast paced environment with rapidly changing priorities and at times, high ambiguity and uncertainty.
• Strong sense of urgency with the ability to execute quickly and efficiently.

• Experience managing and resolving complex employee relations issues required
