How do I hire an A&R Manager? A&R (Artist & Repertoire)
Prodigy Artists is a Venice Beach, CA. based artist management company representing an exciting roster of world-renowned and Grammy-nominated songwriters, record producers and DJ talent. We are quickly growing and are looking for experienced, passionate, and motivated individuals to join our A&R team.
Prodigy Artists is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking A&R to work with the Head of A&R to help spearhead and identify top songwriters, record producers, vocalists or featured artists to collaborate with our client roster.
• Strong relationships within the music publishing and A&R community to drive projects forward for artists across genres on a global scale.
• Optimize and streamline efforts by being able to determine new artists worthy of collaborations with our client roster.
• Commission record producers, mix engineers and remixers as is needed to develop compelling repertoire for each client projects
• Analyze all back-end data to determine the effectiveness of marketing initiatives in support of overall A&R campaigns/strategies.
• Execute and oversee recording sessions from start to finish and ensuring that all recording projects are brought to completion.
• Handle music publisher, record label and artist manager reach out and all other tasks as is necessary and relevant to completing overall A&R processes.
• Ensure prompt delivery of product assets and all ''capital D'' Deliverables in accordance with artist delivery timelines.
Qualifications*:
• At least 2 to 3 years of experience working in A&R at a record label, music publishing company or similar position.
• Must understand domestic and international repertoire and have knowledge of current trends.
• Deep understanding and knowledge of music production and relevant new musical artists discovery tools.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
