Principal UX Designer, Prime Video
Are you interested in shaping the future of entertainment? Are you passionate about enterprise design that enables new consumer experiences, business capabilities and drives efficiency? Prime Video is changing the way people watch movies and TV. Our Enterprise design practice helps make it all possible, and we're just getting started.
The Prime Video Design Studio is seeking a highly skilled, customer-obsessed Principal UX Designer to drive design direction for end-to-end experiences for our enterprise customers worldwide. This role will be responsible for helping to define the future vision for how studios, operations, and content partners engage with the Prime Video service. In this fast-paced, collaborative environment, you'll work on all aspects of UX design including information architecture, UI and interaction design.
This role is for a hands-on leader who establishes a vision and strategy, scales their impact by empowering other designers on the team and is a key contributor to design artifacts. You will develop strong relationships with fellow Design Leaders and partner closely with Product and Engineering counterparts throughout the product development process to launch bar-raising experiences for customers around the world. As a creative lead, you have a passion for solving the problems of our customer, always putting their needs first.
The right candidate leads by doing and has a passion for solving problems at massive scale. You excel through innovation, creativity, and attention to detail. You are a proven strategic thinker and collaborator who flourishes in a large organization. You sincerely believe that design is more than how something looks, but also how it feels and functions. You enjoy great design debates and thrive on iterating based on customer feedback.
Key job responsibilities
• Be a strong design advocate across the entire Prime Video team and a bar raiser for quality of work.
• Work across design verticals to standardize and educate others on design systems and visual languages.
• Analyze customer problems and design delightful solutions that meet measurable business goals.
• Work closely with product teams to develop use cases and high-level requirements.
• Quickly, yet thoroughly, create process flows, wireframes, and visual design mockups as needed to effectively conceptualize and communicate detailed interaction behaviors.
• Create user-centered designs by considering market analysis, customer feedback, site metrics, and usability findings.
• Develop and maintain detailed user-interface specifications.
• Present design work to the user experience team, product team, and project stakeholders for review and feedback.
• Partner with development teams to build experiences: provide appropriate design specifications, create assets, and review finished interfaces.
