Prime Video is seeking a Digital Assets & Media Manager for our growing Global Live Sports Production Technical Operations team. The Digital Assets & Media Manager will support the entire Live Sports team with management of our media assets library. This role requires vision, ability to deal with ambiguity, and a drive to learn and be curious.
A successful candidate has the ability to create and maintain a categorization system that will allow production teams to efficiently access and use media assets. A successful candidate will have experience managing teams and workflows related to cataloging, digitization projects, archives management, and digital archiving. This person will have a leadership role envisioning, applying, and preserving assets with metadata and is expected to build and support a modern, secure system that will stand the test of time. You will work alongside both production and technical operations teams, often with little oversight. You will need to be a quick learner – able to understand and follow stakeholder workflows. The Digital Assets & Media Manager will be expected to make decisions to ensure the system fits the group's changing technical and editorial needs.
You will find yourself in scenarios where you are working as part of a team and where you act on behalf of our team. Project management skills and the ability to balance competing priorities and deadlines will be critical to the success of this position.

The technology is changing at such a rate and the way that data is moved and organized is also changing so quickly that the ability to adapt to new situations and new technologies can never be looked over. The understanding that there is always more than one way to do just about anything technical in the broadcast industry.
Key job responsibilities
• Oversee day to day workflow of all assets and documents to make sure they are efficiently delivered as required and outlined in Prime Video Live Sports Production Post Delivery Guidelines for each live event.
• Work closely with Production teams and Vendors to manage timely delivery of assets.
• Liaise with production teams (internal and external) and vendors regularly to ensure best practices are communicated as the delivery of assets move into the QC stage.
• Ensure that all assets and documents (broadcast materials, archival elements/paperwork) are efficiently delivered as required and outlined in PVLS Delivery Guidelines (this includes but is not limited to confirming that assets adhere to technical specifications, follow mandated file naming conventions and pass QC).
• Learn new platforms as in-house Media Asset Management tools expand.
• Collaborate with Technology teams to improve existing tools and operational workflows by identifying problem areas and providing smart solutions.
• Knowledge of digital media assets and file formats required
• Ability to coordinate and track high volume of work through an end-to-end workflow
• Adaptability and resilience to quick changes in priorities, tools, workflow and technology
• Project management experience
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products

Qualifications
• 10 years of media management experience • Deep knowledge of and previous experience with metadata creation, management & remediation best practices • Knowledge of video, audio, and image encoding formats and industry best practices • Experience working with multiple stakeholders • Understanding of the workflow within a marketing, production, or creative department or company • Experience with high-volume, high-velocity, large-scale file management (workflow orchestration, file-movement, permission management, etc.) • Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and technical workflows • Experience educating non-technical stakeholders and working across multiple teams and regions • Ability to problem-solve and multi-task in fast-paced, dynamic environment • Extremely detail-oriented, organized, and a team player
