About the Role
The Accounting Manager will be a key member of the Finance & Accounting Team responsible for assisting the VP of Finance & Controller in leading Premiere's accounting function. This person will play a critical role in helping generate timely and accurate financial statements, provide necessary reporting to management and other key stakeholders, assist with annual audits and other ad hoc projects as needed. This person will also be responsible for managing direct reports and working cross-functionally with other departments in the execution of the role's duties.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions**):
Responsibilities:
• Own high level monthly accounting reconciliations as an individual contributor, including those related to software capitalization, certain revenue and payroll related accruals.
• Assist the department in the annual financial statement audit, tax returns, and other regulatory compliance processes.
• Establish relationships with our external financial partners and prepare the necessary related monthly and quarterly reports.
• Work closely with Accounts Payable to ensure accurate recording and representation of expenses, including necessary accruals for outstanding or unreceived invoices.
• Assist in the budget and forecasting process.
• Assist the Controller and CFO in identifying areas for process improvement, as well as planning for future growth
• - ?????Review and prepare journal entries as needed
• Other projects as deemed necessary by the Controller or CFO.
• Recruiting: conduct interviews and support the development of the hiring & internal promotion plans.
• Financial Management – managing overtime, and meal breaks for direct reports.
• Administration – ensuring the proper administrative controls are followed and adhered to.
• People Management – providing guidance, supervision and coaching to your assigned direct reports
• As a member of the finance and accounting team, you will directly manage the Senior Accountant and Junior Accountant while working as part of a team to ensure a timely and accurate close.
Required Skills:
• Advanced Excel required (pivot tables, macros, H-V lookups, Index/Match, formulas), with proficiency with other MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Access)
• Proven ability to manage and motivate remote teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage own projects
• Must have an understanding of the entertainment and media industry
• Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office suite

Preferred Skills:
• Experience with NetSuite and Oracle EPM a plus
Qualifications:
Education:
• Education:
• Bachelor's in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field required.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• MBA a plus
Experience:
• Minimum of five (2) years' experience in supervising a team of direct reports
• Minimum of five (5) years' experience in accounting, auditing or finance positions of increasing responsibility
