PragerU, a high-growth nonprofit with conservative values, is looking for a full-time Production Coordinator to provide both production and administrative support to two very busy Production Managers. We are a dynamic, all-hands-on-deck team with a unique and fast-paced workflow. This is an assistant-type role for someone with long-term goals in Production Management. The right candidate will be energetic, helpful, detail-oriented, adaptive, and proactive. Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Production
-Be on set for filming days. Serve as a host for presenters/guests, and help with various set-based tasks such as slate, teleprompter, script supervision, talent releases, and other roles as needed.
• Take content notes during filming for reference during post-production.
• Assist with pre-production emails to presenters/guests to confirm logistics, assist with handling post-filming follow-up and release updates.
• QC edits for picture or sound errors, or content concerns.
• Create email and document drafts for other team members.
• Prepare spaces for filming days, and clean up after filming.
• Book travel for presenters/guests and crew.
• Prepare & print documents for Table Reads, Production Meetings, etc.
• Perform research.
• Be at the ready for any miscellaneous tasks that might pop up.
Calendars, Databases, & Drives
• Fill in database presenter/guest information, and track down contact information.
• Collect & digitize presenter/guest paperwork, and process reimbursements.
• Add scripts, video descriptions, final copy, and other information to database.
• Create and organize digital folders for upcoming presenters/guests.
• Keep release calendars up to date.
• Create and post weekly production schedules around the building.
• Track project statuses and update databases accordingly.
Other Administrative Tasks
• Handle inquiry emails.
• Sort & handle mail & letters.
• Make purchases & handle returns.
• Collect credit card receipts and handle reconciliation/accounting codes.
• Laundry drop-offs and pick-ups.
• Coffee & food pickups, and wash dishes.
Requirements:
• 1-2 years experience in a Production-based administrative role.
• An established understanding of Video Production processes, terminology, and personnel.
• A true Team Player, proactive, helpful, honest, and calm under pressure. This is a no-ego environment where no task is too small.
• Flexible and able to ''roll with the punches'' within an ever-changing game plan, and able to problem-solve on the fly.
• Top-notch organizational and time management skills. Able to juggle a wide variety of concurrent projects in different phases.
• Imperative to be able to communicate, prioritize, and self-manage.
• Highly professional and composed when engaging with a variety of people, and comfortable speaking with high-profile celebrities and personalities. Ready and able to positively represent the Production team and the company.
• Adhere to established processes and structures, and able to think critically and make suggestions for improvements when required.
• Willing and able to take direction from different leaders but also bring his/her ideas and thoughts to the table.
• Quick to learn new processes, procedures, and technologies related to the job.
• An eye for quality and a passion for excellence.
• Willing to innovate and bring effective solutions to the team.
• Some traveling may be required, including flying or driving for long stretches of time.
