Overview
Practising Law Institute (''PLI''), an innovative leader in legal education programs and services, is searching for a technology professional to fill the role of an on-call Multimedia Specialist. Responsibilities and Roles:
The Multimedia Specialist (On-Call) is expected to be proficient in the following roles:
• Technical Director: Acts as the director and is required to create a visually pleasing show for the in-room and web audience. Creates graphics and lower thirds for speaker identification. Integrates the faculty PowerPoint presentation for the webcast and the recorded products. Works with a team of technicians to ensure that all presentation requests from the speakers are carried out.
• Audio Technician: Responsible for the audio mix to the live event, the webcast and the recorded products. Operates Polycom Video Conferencing & Audio Conferencing as needed for remote participants. Loads presentation materials for the faculty and monitors an inbox for late breaking changes and comments.
• Video Operator: Responsible for timing the primary and backup recordings with the encoded files. Logs metadata and creates notes when needed to call out issues. Monitors customer facing streams for quality assurance.
• Floor Manager: Monitors the live event and communicates with the Program Attorney and Faculty Members who are presenting. Loads PowerPoint presentations as needed. Reviews proper microphone procedures and techniques with faculty. Stand ready to assist faculty if any technical difficulties arise during the live
Other Responsibilities:
• Maintain effective and professional relationships within the Programs and Multimedia department and throughout the organization.
• Quickly diagnose and troubleshoot problems during live productions.
• Must be able to maintain concentration and attention to detail for long periods of time.

Qualifications and Requirements
• 2+ years of production experience in live corporate events, web, and video broadcasting.
• Bachelor's Degree in Video Production or Communications strongly
• Proficiency is necessary in Microsoft Office
• Familiar with Adobe Creative Production Suite.
• Experience using
• New Tek video equipment (switcher and NDI/PTZ Tools)
• Crestron routing controllers
• Avantis or Yamaha sound boards or similar
• Dante application software.
• Background in working in corporate events.
• Must be able to work responsibly on your own, but also to interact professionally with a wide range of internal
• Must be able to juggle multiple projects and calmly meet challenging
• Working overtime is required when necessary.

Compensation Range for this position
$32.00 - $36.00 per hour
