Essential Job Functions
-Provide engineering support to the Non-Linear editorial facility and mobile clients.
-Actively pursue and resolve client software issues as they present themselves.
-Build, integrate and test editorial systems for clients. Abilities to meet deadlines is a must.
-Complete Help Desk tickets for service calls.
-Maintain technical skills by actively pursuing information on new technologies and editorial workflows.
-Maintain organized and clean working facilities including but not limited to machine rooms, tech office, facility storage.
-Actively pursue clear communication between departments. Including but not limited to the equipment department and the IT department.
-Respect PostWorks equipment through proper handling. Report any broken equipment to the proper parties.
-Take steps to maintain proper functionality and appearance of gear for client presentation.
- On a rotational 24/7 schedule between all avid techs, you will be asked to cover possible overnight emergencies; ''daily pagers'' covering Monday through Thursday will be paid $100 per day; ''weekend pagers'' covering Friday through Sunday (and holidays) will be paid $150 per day. Whether you are utilized or not, you will be paid if you are assigned for a particular day.
Requirements/Education/Experience
-At least 2-4 years working experience with Avid and Adobe Premier
Other Skills/Abilities
-Knowledge of file-based workflows
-Proactive thinker who can work in fast paced environment
-Good Communication Skills
-MS Office, FileMaker Pro
