Intern - Media, Race Relations

This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship

Firstly, what is Positive Identity?

Positive Identity is a movement dedicated to creating positive race relations by sharing inspiring stories of the good things that Asian, Black, Hispanic, White people and beyond are doing for each other and America. Positive Identity works by aggregating and creating media to change what we see on social media and the media when it comes to race to creative positive perception which leads to positive action. With America dealing with record racial division while also being a global model for a multi-racial society, the work of Positive Identity is timely and important in our drive for equality and positive unity for all.

Currently Positive Identity has relationships with some major media organizations and is planning a major launch for May 2021, and we're looking to expand.

Positive Identity is looking for summer interns who wish to take action in whatever way possible with us. We create media of all types (Digital Video, Documentary, PSA, Fiction) while also engaging in all social media platforms (Twitter, IG, Tik Tok, Youtube, Facebook, Pinterest, Reddit, etc.) to spread media that inspires and unites.

We're open to people of all skillsets who are excited about what we're doing. Whether it's speaking with journalists, editing videos, social media management, creating memes, organizing events, writing/directing, shooting photos, website design, you name it. We are looking for all types of people as we launch into summer of 2021.

We believe the most powerful tool is passion for your work, we'll work with you to maximize what you're good at while also having you work in areas you wish to grow. We want your time here for you to do what you're good at and what you want. We're here to create positive race relations and we want people to be at their best.

Work Place: REMOTE
Dates: April/May - August
Hours: 10 hours a week
Credit is on a to be determined basis.
