Project Description: We are seeking a talented and passionate freelance cinematographer and editor to capture and craft a dynamic 7-10 minute ''docuvision'' for a groundbreaking community project. This film is a cinematic look at a movement dedicated to holistic wellness, cutting-edge education, and workforce development. The project is rooted in a 67-year legacy of social change, but its vision is entirely forward-looking-to fill a void and empower and strengthen families in the community. The finished documentary will be used to attract investors, grant funders, and partners to our mission.

Responsibilities:

Cinematography:

Capture all necessary footage on-site in Lynwood, IL. This includes B-roll of community activities, on-camera interviews, and walk-and-talk segments with the project's visionary and host.

You must use your own professional camera, audio, and lighting equipment to shoot high-quality, cinematic-style footage (4K preferred).

Filming Dates: Sunday, 8/24 and Tuesday, 8/25.

Filming Hours: 10:00 AM - 2:30 PM on both days.

Editing:

Edit the final 7-10 minute documentary.

Create repurposed social media content from the main video, including:

A 90-second teaser or highlight reel.

At least three shorter clips (30-60 seconds each) for social platforms.

Short, standalone clips of compelling soundbites from interviews.

Integrate pre-provided animated floor plans, video archives of historical photos/artifacts, and drone footage into the final cut.

Deliver all final files in agreed-upon formats.

Compensation:

Filming: $50/hour, paid at the end of each day after footage review and approval.

Editing: $800 flat rate for all deliverables, to be paid upon project completion.

Reimbursements: Gas expenses will be covered upon submission of receipts. Meals (breakfast items and lunch) will be provided during filming.
