Position Description
Responsibilities include supervising staff of editors (caption, subtitle and scripting), assuring all assigned work is completed, troubleshooting technical issues, handling after-hour rush requests, delivering finished files and setting up projects for next day's shift.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
-Supervises staff of 4-8 caption, subtitle and scripting editors;
-After-hours point of contact for Client Service department, handling issues, questions and/or rejections;
-Assures scheduled projects are completed on time, adds new projects when applicable to morning schedule and preps for delivery for following morning;
-Handles rush after-hour requests, including communicating with client, setting up and scheduling work with editor, doing a final QC and delivering;
-Troubleshoots editor's technical problems, as well as assists other departments having caption or subtitle issues;
-Makes decisions on abnormal or challenging content;
-Manages performance of staff; assists in providing timely performance feedback and appropriate recognition; responsible for developing employees;
-Communicates proactively with daytime Operations Managers to ensure a smooth transition from one shift to another;
-Identifies areas of department that can be improved or made more efficient, and works with other managers to achieve goals, department- and company-wide.

Requirements, Education and Experience
-A minimum of 3 years in Localization with some experience in a Management, Supervisor or Team Leadership position;
-Current knowledge of file types, software, equipment and FCC regulations, as well as a general knowledge of caption and subtitle history;
-Must be available to work: Monday-Friday, 3:30 pm to 12:30 am;
-High School degree required; college degree preferred.
