Search for Writer & Animator Talent Acquisition jobs in San Francisco-CA
We're looking for an explorative and discerning quick-thinker to find exceptional writers and story artists who can partner with us to create original content on the Episode platform.
Responsibilities:
- Develop creative ways to find and connect with great writers through a variety of channels (e.g., participation at conferences, social media outreach, launching and managing writing contests)
- Build and maintain relationships with great writers, developing their talent and getting them signed up and writing stories that readers love on Episode
- Identify talented story artists and other visual storytellers to help bring stories to life on the screen using Episode's unique toolset
- Iterate constantly to create new sourcing plans and tools to find amazing writers and story artists
- Design and drive new processes across writer and story artist auditions, management, and skill-building so that we can best empower our creative team to succeed
- Recognize, create, and nurture talented partnerships between the writers and story artists you've brought to our team
- Be agile enough to quickly change course and fill new needs or roles as Episode grows
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of talent scouting experience for an agency, studio, production company, publisher, festival or related experience
- Bachelor's degree required, relevant advanced degree a plus
- Superb taste in stories for film, animation, TV, novels, games, comics and other media
- Interest in a variety of genres, including but not limited to YA and romance
- Excellent critical faculties in deconstructing narrative and visual storytelling
- Fantastic eye for up-and-coming talent and dynamic story material
- Experience in television, publishing, movies, and/or gaming
- Self-starter with strong attention to detail, good time management and multitasking abilities
