Senior Vice President, Strategic Insights and Analytics (Strategic Marketing Analytics)
PMK• BNC Los Angeles is seeking a Senior Vice President, Strategic Insights & Analytics.
The Senior Vice President of Strategic Insights & Analytics possesses a rare combination of technical acumen, business savvy along with visionary leadership and collaboration skills. The Strategic Insights & Analytics department uses data to challenge clients' perceptions, identify opportunities, deliver insights and provide solutions to a variety of situational barriers that enhance our clients' successes in the marketplace. This individual will lead and oversee the department. The role requires exceptional leadership skills and excellent verbal and written communications skills. This position reports directly to the President and is a core member of the agency's leadership team.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Serve as resident Analytics expert with extensive knowledge of experiential measurement, social media monitoring, traditional PR analytics, web analytics and consumer research
• Engage clients / prospective clients to uncover needs and develop solutions that drive growth and measurable impact
• Direct the development of actionable insights to inform future strategies
• Represent the voice of the customer to the organization
• Build and nurture strong working relationships with other Agency leaders
• Strategic Counsel for the Agency thru all aspects of new business development
• Manage Key Client Relationships
• Develop Staffing Model to support existing clients and new business development
• Recruit, retain and motivate a bi-coastal team of analysts and researchers
• Provide guidance to Management Team to aid in prioritizing projects and work assignments
• Build out Analytics practice to encompass longer-term, more strategic initiatives
• Own analytics relationship with clients and continually engage and consult with them
• Provide support in developing analytic responses to client strategic issues. Topics may include experiential, strategic budgeting decisions, social conversation, PR and other areas
• Prioritize a portfolio of high-impact research and analytical initiatives
• Oversee analysis of qualitative and quantitative research and analyses, from design of the approach through to the reporting and presentation of findings, making insightful and actionable recommendations
Required Experience and Skills:
• Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree in a quantitative field, such as statistics, mathematics, engineering, or economics advantageous preferred
• 12 years' experience leading a complex multi-industry analytics organization with at least 5 years of experience specializing in marketing analytics
• Prior agency experience is desired but not a requirement
• Must have advanced experience using syndicated and proprietary research to uncover key performance drivers
• Experience developing powerful narratives to deliver insights and strategy for client buy-in
• Inventive problem-solver, passionate about following, understanding, and harnessing technology, socio-cultural, and marketing trends
• Experience recruiting top talent, inspiring staff to excellence cultivating a culture of collaboration and engagement
• Intellectually curious thought leader and inventive problem-solver, passionate about following, understanding, and harnessing technology, socio-cultural, and marketing trends
• A highly refined level of executive savvy/gravitas
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• A strong drive for results with acute attention to details
• Comprehensive understanding of metrics: Media (e.g. impression, CPM etc.), Measurement analytics, Quantitative business measures (ROI, Effectiveness, etc.), Statistics (Correlations, sample sizing, t-value VIF etc.), Social Conversation (e.g. impressions, Engagements, Engagement Rate etc.)
• Experience leveraging data from a variety sources; websites, social media platforms, social conversation, PR results and data derived from B2C activities
• Knowledge of social/digital listening strategies and ability to interpret the business insights derived from social listening platform
• Extensive experience using analytics and visualization tools (e.g. Excel, SQL, SPSS, Tableau, Piktochart, Visual.ly etc.)
• Experience managing vendors and/or outside partners
• Frequent travel required
