Full Time Job
Founded in 1962, Artforum delivers informed criticism and analyses of the latest developments in contemporary art and culture, both in print and online.
We seek a full-time Editorial Assistant for artforum.com, with possible occasional crossover to print projects. The ideal candidate is personable, highly organized, and detail-oriented with a strong interest in contemporary art and criticism.
Reporting to the Managing Editor and senior- and associate-level web staff, the successful candidate would provide assistance to website staff with research, fact checking, and clerical duties, as well as occasionally collaborating with print editorial staff.
Responsibilities:
• To fact check articles for publication
• To research topics of interest in consultation with editorial staff
• To assist with the processing of material for digital publication and archiving
• To provide clerical assistance to web staff
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in art history or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong interest in contemporary art and criticism
• Proficiency with requisite software, online publishing, and social media
• Ability to pursue independent workflows and meet deadlines
This position pays $25/Hour
