We are looking for an experienced AI Solutions Strategist to lead the integration of artificial intelligence across our media organization. You will be part of the technology team and work cross-functionally with teams across Analytics, Finance, HR, Legal, Editorial, and other departments to identify AI opportunities, design solutions, and implement workflow improvements that drive measurable business impact. This role combines deep technical expertise in AI/ML with strategic thinking to transform how PMC operates and creates new product possibilities.
This position can be based in either Los Angeles or New York, with travel between offices as needed.
What You’ll Work On
Examples include - Evaluating AI tools for content curation across our brand portfolio, sourcing vendors for AI-driven financial forecasting, exploring LLM applications for operational processes, investigating prompt engineering opportunities for legal document workflows, and designing AI agent systems for enterprise deployment. You'll collaborate across all levels–from product teams to executive leadership–and as our first dedicated AI strategist, you'll have autonomy to drive initiatives company-wide.
This position reports to the Senior Vice President of Technology and offers significant growth potential as PMC expands its AI capabilities, including opportunities to represent PMC at industry conferences and shape the future of AI in media.
Key Responsibilities
• Cross-functional collaboration: Work with teams across Analytics, Finance, HR, Legal, Editorial, and other departments to identify AI use cases and build solutions that improve workflows
• Process assessment and integration: Embed with business units to observe current processes and advise on AI integration opportunities
• Strategic decision-making: Evaluate vendors and contribute to build-versus-buy decisions, with input on budget allocation for AI initiatives
• Training and enablement: Lead training initiatives and evangelize AI opportunities to build internal expertise and enthusiasm for new technologies
Required Qualifications
This role will require a combination of technical skills and business/communications acumen; you will work with some people who are already AI experts and others who are fearful and need handholding. • 3 years of hands-on experience with AI/ML solutions, prompt engineering, and LLM implementations
• Proven credentials from established AI platforms (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Microsoft) or recognized consulting firms with strong AI practices
• Experience working cross-functionally in matrixed organizations with diverse stakeholder groups
• Deep understanding of LLM fine-tuning, grounding, RAG implementations, and multi-modal AI applications
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to translate complex AI concepts for non-technical audiences
• Proven record of delivering tech initiatives from concept to production and measuring business impact
• Background in product management, business process analysis, operations consulting, or solution architecture (preferred)
• Track record of managing vendor relationships and technology procurement decisions (preferred)

As PMC values in-person collaboration and team cohesion, employees work onsite 4 days a week and 1 day remotely with a focus on maintaining a vibrant and inclusive culture.
Typical wage range: $155k–$205k bonus.
