This is a Full Time Job
The Content Editor, part of the Programming & Content Department at Pluto TV, leads all aspects of the daily operations of multiple television channels. This includes upholding content standards and implementing schedules within tight deadlines. The Programming & Content Department is responsible for the content strategy for all on-air schedules across our linear-style channels as well as the Video-on-Demand section!
What will you be doing?
• Proactively drive channel growth through strategic use of content based on performance data, including developing stunts, planning monthly highlights and liaising with Marketing on key titles
• Ensure that the schedules are published for linear and non-linear on time, meet editorial guidelines and drive performance
• Strategically evaluate and coordinate content inventory (shows, episodes etc.) in our Content Management System
• Ensure content including its editorial metadata is packaged while following technical and regulatory standards
• Maintain clear, concise and up to date documentation about the channels
• As part of a small team, be the first point of contact for programming for all operational questions relating to the channels
What are we looking for?
• At least 1-3 years working experience in television or TV streaming platforms as programme scheduler/ editor across multiple genres
• Proficient in streaming data/ viewing data analytics and ability to look at data to inform editorial decision-making
• Excellent interpersonal, time management and prioritisation skills to effectively prioritize multiple concurrent tasks
• A hands-on approach and aim to try new things
• A co-operative, communicative, and team-oriented work style
• Excellent written and verbal skills in English
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Suite is required. Experience working with Content Management systems (eg IBMS, WhatsOn) is preferred
• A keen interest and enthusiasm in working within the fast-paced media industry
• A passion for content and entertainment - particularly for TV, Movies, online content, and streaming.
