Responsibilities:
As a Lighting TD, you'll work with our Head of Lighting, Lighting Supervisor, and Pipeline team to build tools for the lighting department.
Minimum Requirements:
• High level animation content , visual effects, or game industry production experience.
• Experience with Houdini and Arnold.
• Scripting experience (Python).
• Strong technical and creative problem solving skills.
• Must have experience collaborating with a team of artists.
• Solid understanding of a VFX pipeline.
• Understanding of modern physically based rendering technology and pipelines.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Nice to Have
• Exceptional communication skills in dealing with both technical and artistic groups.
• Software development experience (Python, C, C , etc.).
• Experience in lighting, shading and/or compositing.
• Experience with Solaris (Houdini), Maya and Nuke.
• Ability to prototype rapidly and deliver quick solutions.
• Good understanding of PBR theory
• Previous work experience working in a fast paced creative technology environment.
• Good understanding of colorspaces
