This is a Full Time Job
Reporting to the Director of Safety and Security, the Manager of Security Field Operations will help lead a multifaceted and responsive security operations program. You will work with your team to develop and implement defensive observation functions utilizing a multi-layered approach in protecting the company's employees, physical assets, intellectual content, facilities and Brand. Accomplished by leading a workforce made up of proprietary security officers with exceptional operational capabilities; and employing a strong analytical and proactive approach that includes a focus on training, communication, and consistent procedure.
Effectiveness is maximized by building consensus among security personnel, external law enforcement partners and business unit stakeholders, to accomplish department objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Delivers security and safety services by planning, evaluating, and implementing security functions within assigned area of responsibility
• Accountable for day-to-day management and operational effectiveness of security personnel
• Accomplishes department objectives by establishing action plans, timetables, and outcome measurements; obtaining and allocating resources; reviewing progress; making mid-course corrections
• Is fiscally responsible and achieves financial goals by controlling and reducing costs through efficient and optimal use of department assets
• Maintains department results by recruiting and selecting exceptional and productive security officers; mentorship, counseling, and correcting when necessary; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
• Cultivates existing relationships with law enforcement and community partners by actively engaging and partnering on key initiatives and activities
• Works closely with Pixar key stakeholders, i.e. Facilities, Café, Systems, Legal, etc. to maintain a positive relationship while enforcing security standards
• Leads by example and provides a positive, professional and inspired work environment
• Effectively manages third party vendors associated with supplemental security services by monitoring contractual obligations and maintaining vendor performance
• Consistently analyzes labor requirements and identifies and implements efficiencies within area of accountability
• Additional responsibilities as required
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum 10 years experience in positions of increasing responsibility within the security field including 7 years of experience leading a comparable sized organization
• Demonstrated track record in dealing with the effective communication of complex and organizational and human resource issues
• Assimilates and synthesizes information rapidly and recognizes the complexity of issues, challenges assumptions, and has ability to quickly make decisions to address areas of concern
• Continually searches for ways to contribute and to position the organization for future success
• Deals effectively with ambiguity and learns from success and failure
• Demonstrates resiliency and sound judgment in dealing with business and corporate challenges
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong business knowledge and acumen
• Effectively manages integrated change and solves problems
• Strong leadership and influence skills
• Builds trust and instills self-confidence through mutual respect and ongoing communication
• Proven track record of managing and developing employees
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Entertainment industry experience preferred or something like Familiarity with working in or with large organizations
• Training and experience in conflict resolution and/or verbal de-escalation techniques, and incident command
• Experience in balancing employee relations, confidential investigations, payroll/benefits, security training
• Prior defensive observation, behavioral assessment, threat and incident detection experience with public or private sectors
• Proven track record in leading security operations and personnel to deliver high quality, customer-oriented security programs
• Detail oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast paced environment

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
• Bachelor's Degree in relevant subject matter or equivalent practical experience
