Job Summary:
Pixar's Render Pipeline Group (RPG) designs, develops, and supports the scheduling system and user tools that help create our award-winning movies and Disney Streaming content. We work to maintain a healthy, efficient, and scalable render farm, and keep the farm running smoothly for the shows. Each production pushes the limits of animation technology in unique ways, so our architecture needs to be dynamic by design.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Champion a culture of trust, responsibility, and excellence within the team
• Craft a team roadmap and strategically triage support needs against short and long term goals. Focus team to make progress despite resource constraints
• Ensure timely and accurate communication with both Production and Systems teams
• Work with the Production Rendering Supervisors to build a culture of partnership and trust across departments
• Possess excellent collaboration skills and a positive, can-do demeanor
• Hold yourself and others to a high bar when it comes to engineering methodologies, like writing maintainable code, providing good documentation and embracing automated testing
• Go to Infinity and Beyond ensuring the success of the team and studio
QUALIFICATIONS:
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree/experience in related field
• 5+ years in Engineering or Engineering Management
• Experience with project management, leading technical teams, or coaching/mentoring other team members in a technical area
• The organizational ability to multitask effectively
• Familiarity with technologies used by the team (Python, Kafka, Elasticsearch, MySQL, Kubernetes) a plus
