Job Summary:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead, design, influence, and evangelize our total rewards philosophy
• Takes initiative to identify and propose solutions for addressable needs and opportunities. Lead projects for key compensation initiatives such as compensation design and implementation, market benchmarking, career path/ladder formation and incentive plan design.
• Develop a pay for performance philosophy tied to new studio performance management strategy
• Stay ahead of total rewards market trends and recommend proactive measures to ensure that pay programs are externally competitive and internally equitable
• Manage the overall benefit programs including insurance programs, defined compensation programs and fringe benefits. Maintain compliance with all federal and state reporting requirements
• Conduct needs assessment, benchmarking and analysis of benefit/wellness programs. Compare plan designs and evaluate vendors for benefit selection and renewal
• Recommend specific improvements and program/plan changes to address utilization metrics, cost containment, employee demographics, etc.
• Promote and market benefits and compensation programs to managers and employees. Inform and educate employees on programs to ensure understanding of program offerings.
• Lead all aspects of HRIS strategy, i.e., the implementation, use and improvement of HR Information Systems including Workday, outside services and any related internal systems
• Facilitate annual compensation programs including merit, incentives, and equity programs
• Strong partnership with Disney HR partners in compensation, benefits, and HRIS
• Mentor and coach direct reports
• Works cross functionally to achieve results that enhance the employee experience at Pixar
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, business or related field
• 12+ years of progressively responsible compensation and benefits experience, with at least 3 years in compensation
• Previous experience working with C-Level executives
• Experience leading a Total Rewards function in a small to midsize company
• Experience designing and implementing variable pay systems, stock, retirement and health and wellness plans
• Proven ability to evaluate, design, recommend, and implement compensation and benefits programs based on market assessment and business strategy
• Strong project management skills and experience – including budget management and diligent attention to detail. Experience with broker and vendor management
• Experience with HR systems & applications
• Ability to set strategy and execute in a high paced studio environment
• Strong communication and negotiation talents. Requires strong partnering skills and the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
• Excellent written, verbal, analytical, and presentation skills
• Strong customer focus with the ability to solve complex problems
• Highly organized and self-disciplined – a self-starter
• People management skills and ability to develop other professionals in the HR organization
• Team player with the ability to forge consultative relationships both within and outside the HR team
• Strong change management skills
