Intern - Ballpark Entertainment (2026 Season)
Job Summary
This position will assist the Ballpark Entertainment team in the coordination and execution of in-game entertainment at PNC Park. This role will primarily support the day-to-day operations of the Bucco Brigade, Ball Team and Pierogies, helping bring energy and excitement to every Pirates home game. This role will provide hands-on experience in planning, staffing, and executing in-game promotions, fan interactions, and entertainment elements that enhance the overall game day atmosphere. The intern will collaborate closely with the Ballpark Entertainment team to help deliver a fun, family-friendly, and memorable experience for all fans at PNC Park. Ideal candidates are highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
Primary
• Lead a dynamic In-Game Entertainment team intended to support game day presentation, community initiatives and in-market fan engagement events.
• Attend scoreboard and production meetings to stay informed on game day scripts, timing, and in-game entertainment cues.
• Coordinate scheduling for all In-Game Entertainment needs.
• Help manage team communication, ensuring all entertainment staff are informed of schedules, roles, and responsibilities.
• Manage Bucco Brigade inventory and staff for all fan engagement events outside of PNC Park.
• Assist with planning and executing pregame, in-game and postgame activities both on and off the field, including in-game entertainment features that require live activation with In-Game Entertainment Team members.
• Email post-game deliverables to participants of pre-game experiences including First Pitch and National Anthem.
• All other duties as assigned.
Secondary
• Assist with training and onboarding seasonal employees.
• Learn Shoflo to assist with daily in-game scripts.
Qualifications
Required:
• Candidates majoring in Marketing or similar field.
• Must be in a Degree-Seeking Program at Junior, Senior or Graduate level.
• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Desired:
• Experience with collegiate or professional sports team.
• Previous event management experience.
