Intern - Graphic Design (2026 Spring)
Job Summary
This Graphic Design Internship position is a seasonal position (January 19 - April 24) working as a team with the Sr. Designer, Designers, and the Creative Director on a variety of projects and assignments. Assignments primarily come from the Creative Director, and the Creative Project Manager. The ideal candidate is a proactive individual, with well-developed critical thinking skills who can process, react to, and solve problems in a timely manner. This candidate should also seek out and be open to constructive criticism.
Responsibilities:
• Clearly communicate and present ideas through visuals to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Understand the Pirates brand, voice, and audience to produce visuals that inspire our brand story while also building authentic relationships.
• Work with other creative team members to produce cohesive content and designs for all platforms and mediums.
• Collaborate with other creative team members and attend project and team meetings.
• Collaborate with other departments within the organization.
• Participate in career building exercises with fellow interns
• Accept real and constructive feedback when necessary.
• Receive projects and tasks from the Project Manager via a project management system (Lytho). Uploading proofs and deliverables to that system.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Authorized to work lawfully in the United States.
• Must be in a Degree-Seeking Program at Junior, Senior or Graduate level, majoring in Graphic Design, or a related field.
• Must be available to be on-site office for the entire duration of the internship
• Understanding of the graphic production process.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Indesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to maintain, organize, and label all design production files
Desired:
• Ability to work some gamedays throughout the season.
• Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects
• Working knowledge of Canva
• Understanding of both digital and print design
