Job Summary
The Florida Operations Groundskeeper is responsible for assisting in the maintenance of baseball fields at Pirate City and LECOM Park.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain all field areas per the direction of the Grounds Manager, including the turf, pitchers' mounds, bases and chalk lines.
• Maintain and repair irrigation and drainage system as needed.
• Inspect Machinery before and after use and keep in workable condition.
• Repair equipment as needed and report all repairs and broken equipment to the Grounds Manager immediately.
• Be proactive in maintaining a safe environment at LECOM Park and at Pirate City Complex for all residents and visitors.
• Adhere to maintenance procedures that ensure all equipment is operating as it should.
• Assist with game day and event preparation including baseball fields, batting practice, pre-game set up and break down, post-game cleanup and non-baseball-related events.
Qualifications:
Required:
• A minimum of 18 years of age.
• 1-3 years prior experience working in groundskeeping, lawn maintenance or athletic field maintenance.
• Valid Driver's License.
Desired:
• Bilingual in Spanish and English.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Prior baseball field maintenance experience.
