As the Community& Social Responsibility Manager, you will assist in impacting the community through a commitment to education and mentoring, health and fitness, military recognition, and basic needs as well as NBA sponsored program and player charities.

What you'll be doing
• Assist in overseeing all community programming including event development, management, budgeting, and evaluation
• Project manage community events and programs implemented by Community & Social Responsibility coordinators and interns
• Assist as departmental liaison with Corporate Partnerships, Digital Media, Sales and Marketing to manage Community Relations assets and programs
• Establish and maintain relationships with external community contacts in an effort to grow community and brand awareness
• Activate Pistons and NBA Cares platforms (Math Hoops, Women's Empowerment, Pride, etc.).
• Oversee Employee Volunteer Program
• Collaborate with Corporate Partnerships department on sponsored community events, platforms and campaigns
• Manage community relations team by providing oversight and direction to coordinators, interns and game day staff
• Assist in overseeing departmental micro site and subsequent web pages, content and format
• Aide VP and Director with all other projects, as assigned

What we're looking for
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as, Sport Management, Marketing, Communications or related field or equivalent work experience required
• 3 years' experience in Community Relations and/or Corporate Social Responsibility, Foundation or nonprofit role, Event Planning, Marketing
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays, as needed.
• Experience in Ability to multi-task and work in a faced-paced environment.
• Must have ability to work under tight deadlines and to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Impeccable communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Previous work in the field of athletics or entertainment a plus
