Busy creative production agency with over 35 years of experience in film marketing, creative advertising, and localization is seeking an energetic Associate Director to join its International Marketing Services team. This is a hands-on role helping the department run efficiently and effectively on a day to day basis. Positive, can-do attitude and great sense of humor are a must, as this is a fast-paced environment with ever-changing client needs and deadlines.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
• Reporting to the Executive Director, Marketing Services (LA) and working closely with the team of localization managers and coordinators to ensure materials are produced to a high standard and on time
• Working closely with Executive Director on streamlining production workflows and processes, and looking for ways in which to improve efficiency and encourage best practices
• Working with in-house graphic designers, audio technicians and online editors to deliver international localised marketing materials (foreign language materials, a TV spot or trailer and localising it into several different languages)
• Working with our finishing department to produce and deliver final materials, managing the delivery process and file production and asset management
• Downloading assets (i.e. OV masters, audio, GFX) from vendors/clients and making available company-wide on the sync
• Sending detailed work orders to graphics designers, audio engineers and online editors, including project specific specs and details
• QCing and overseeing revisions of produced files?and delivering to client-approved proprietary platforms
• Working with the UK office to ensure all communication across all jobs is efficient and correct
• Dealing directly with international territory offices (primarily covering Latin America and APAC) regarding their orders and also with the Paramount Head Office regarding campaign timelines, territory-specific requests, dubbing needs, et al
• Building relationships with marketing and operations personnel within the territories
• Collaborating with translators and dubbing studios to obtain translations and audio files
• Helping to assess and triage competing deadlines across all territory requests in a given day/week, working with scheduling and the different departments to ensure high priority items are always first up
• Tracking all current orders on Smartsheet, and ensuring all documentation on project status is up to date daily
• Escalating any problems on jobs to the Executive Director
• Helping to train and mentor new hires on the localization team
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• Highly organized with flexible approach and plenty of initiative
• The ability to work effectively, calmly, and proactively under pressure, prioritizing challenges in response to operational needs and client deadlines
• Ability to communicate with both internal and external contacts at all levels in calm and polite manner
• Good sense of humor and poise
• A key attribute is attention to detail
• A willing and positive attitude
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Understanding that our clients demand flexible working hours
• Working knowledge of the Post Production process
• Knowledge of operating systems, protocols, audio, cinema 4D and After Effects for Graphic Designers, Premiere for On-Line Editorial is a plus
• Minimum of 5 years experience of working in an operational or production role is a plus
• An international background would be useful
• Language skills advantageous
