Job Summary:
This position is directly responsible for the overall management of the daily Production operations and scheduling of work in the pipeline. Working with Executive VP's, CTO and Producers to align talent and support staff to accomplish daily workload, meet deadlines, maximize efficiencies and maintain the highest standards. Includes: Workflow management, Oversight of support staff, troubleshooting and scheduling.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of daily production operations at the Company.
• Manages and oversees Production Assistants.
• Manages and oversees scheduling staff.
• Works with Executive VP's and Post Producers to assess current and upcoming needs of clients and daily pipeline requirements; manages the scheduling of staff and proper coverage, according to workload and resource availability.
• Assists in sharing resources among multiple accounts on daily basis.
• Coordinates Freelancers staff as needed.
• Provides approval as it relates to scheduling PA's for PTO requests and arranges coverage as needed.
• Works with Executive VP's and Human Resources on recruitment and onboarding needs including interviewing, providing input on new hires and staffing needs, and helping to get new employees acclimated.
• Works with Human Resources to mediate various personnel matters as needed as they relate to direct reports.
• Provides input on Company policies, procedures and practices as it relates to the production operations of the business.
• Helps to ensure staff Xytech billing compliance.
• Occasionally manages special projects as Post Producer.
General Requirements:
Explicit knowledge of the principles and practices of Post Production, as it relates to Picture, Sound and Post Supervision. Having direct experience in the finishing of materials for Motion Picture Marketing a plus. Ability to develop long-term plans for the Company's production operations function. Must have a comprehensive understanding of digital technology as it applies to post production workflows and having a strong ability to manage employees in a fast paced and ever-changing environment; excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Educational Requirements:
5-10 year's experience in a post-production facility.
A bachelor's degree required.
Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Certificates and Licenses Required:
None.
Physical Requirements:
General office setting; no special requirements.
