Full Time Job
The Footprint Center and Phoenix Mercury Social team seeks a Social Media Coordinator, responsible for executing social strategy and driving engagement across the Footprint Center arena and Phoenix Mercury social channels. This role will focus on managing daily social content, supporting community growth and engagement, while also delivering on partner entitlements.
What You Will Do:
• Cultivate fan engagement, plan, and craft social media posts/campaigns, and optimize campaign performance across Phoenix Mercury social channels
• Ideate and create engaging, fresh, and interesting content to grow Footprint Center’s social footprint as well as utilizing social media to support and reach sales initiatives.
• Engage in conversation across social channels with fans, players, artists, local media, etc. while building followers and engaging influencers through multiple social media channels
• Build and maintain a daily, weekly, and monthly social media calendar for both organic and branded content
• Leverage trending topics and conversations in real-time to capitalize on content opportunities to amplify the voice/brand of Footprint Center and Mercury
• Serve as an on-site social team representative for designated concerts, events, and games, performing social media tasks, shooting photography, and posting across social media channels
• Quickly recognize and react to real-time trends and current events
• Work in partnership with Creative department to ideate social creative, campaigns, and trending content
• Collaborate with Social Media Manager and Business Intelligence team on social media KPIs
• Support the Partnerships team with planning and coordination of partner activations, such as digital and social deliverables, branded content, and video series
• Stay current on new social products, technologies, and trends
What We Need from our Coordinator:
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• A passion for sports, entertainment, and pop culture
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to develop relationships
• Possess a high level of confidentiality to handle sensitive information
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including long hours, evening, weekends, holidays
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree (required)
• 3 years of experience managing social brand, voice, strategy
• Experience supporting social strategies across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat, and other emerging platforms
• Subject matter expert on social media platforms, with the ability to educate various internal departments on the ever-changing world of social trends and culture
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite/Photoshop
• Experience with Asana, Monday.com, or other similar project management platforms
• Experienced content creator, shooter, and editor to execute content in real time across multiple platforms
