We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Senior, Social Strategist with the Social Team. This individual will be a key member of a dynamic social team, converging brand goals, content strategy, and performance analytics within our social and digital ecosystem.
This hands-on execution role requires expert-level knowledge of social and digital media strategy, as well as the ability to concept, create, and execute social strategies and integrated marketing campaigns that support the overarching brand and revenue goals, while deepening connections between the brands and our fans.

What the Senior, Social Media Strategist will do:
• Develop and ideate organic social media and content strategies across key channels, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, Twitch, Snapchat, YouTube, and Weibo, with a focused eye on emerging platforms and unique content opportunities
• Manage daily social content, gameday and event coverage, supporting community growth, engagement, and partner deliverables, with a strong emphasis on analytics and performance measurement
• Collaborate with the Creative and Content teams to drive creative briefs and craft elevated campaign work and social specific content
• Partner with the larger, integrated marketing team to ensure consumer insights and analytics are incorporated into social strategies
• Confidently pitch social strategy proposals and creative briefs to partners and the integrated marketing team
• Establish a formalized social content strategy, influencer strategy, as well as unique strategies and objectives for each social platform
• Maximize social media management technology, and identify opportunities with additional platforms and products, i.e., Reddit, Twitch, Twitter Spaces, etc.
• Drive innovation across social channels, remaining up to date on new technology, platforms, macro trends, allowing for fast-moving application to strategic plans
• Leverage our Customer Data Platform (CDP) and social media management platform to create and track attribution models for ticket sales and revenue generating programs
• Identify key insights from research and data that can help inform content and campaign planning, as well as optimization
• Manage relationships with key leaders and peers at the NBA league level, social platforms, and partners
• Work with agency partners, developing strategy, creative, and providing guidance on social as a part of larger integrated experience
• Drive strategic utilization for social listening tools, leveraging insights to develop thoughtful and consistent content and identify monetization opportunities
• Effectively engage with and cultivate audiences across social platforms, driving audience growth, brand awareness, and building community
What we need from the Senior, Social Media Strategist:
• 4-6 years of social media experience, with a focus on entertainment, media, and/or direct to consumer brand experience preferred
• Extensive experience driving social strategy, implementation, and execution across the major social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat, Weibo, etc.)
• An in-depth understanding of KPI creation, and how social impacts broader, integrated marketing campaigns, influencing web traffic, sales conversion, email sign ups, engagement, impressions, brand mentions, follower growth, and leads
• Team management and leadership experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication, support, and resolution skills
• An elevated creative eye and aesthetic with skills in photo, video, and design preferred
• Proficient in social media management and planning tools (Sprout, Conviva, Hootsuite, Brandwatch, eclincher, Planoly, etc.)
• Subject matter expert on social media platforms, with the ability to educate various internal departments on the ever-changing world of social trends and culture
• The ability to identify, analyze, and communicate cultural moments and movements, resonating with audiences
• A passion for pop-culture, entertainment, and media
• Understanding of brand and product storytelling on social with passion for engaging consumers
• A strong ability to analyze metrics to drive actionable next steps
• A quick-thinking, creative, hands-on, organized, problem-solver
• Have a desire to flourish in a fast-paced environment with an entrepreneurial spirit
• Obsession for storytelling and community building
