We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Manager, Mercury Sales, to lead and develop a team of Account Executives focused on driving new business through full season, partial plans, group sales and premium inventory across the Phoenix Mercury, Phoenix Suns, and PHX Arena events. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Mercury Sales & Service, this role is responsible for training, coaching and mentoring a team of nine sellers with a focus on outbound sales.
What You Will Do:
Culture and Motivation
• Foster a competitive and collaborative team environment with a focus on accountability, recognition, and continuous improvement.
• Drive a standard of excellence that reflects the values and brand of the Player 15 Group.
• Support department-wide initiatives that contribute to continuous improvement and innovation in membership strategy.
Performance Management and Team Development
• Lead hiring, onboarding and training of new hires and oversee ongoing skill development.
• Establish performance goals, activity metrics, and provide ongoing coaching to ensure team success.
• Monitor team performance and provide feedback and support to help team members exceed their targets.
• Foster a positive, collaborative culture by leading team meetings, training sessions, and sharing best practices.
• Manage proactive outbound sales activity, sales appointments, and networking opportunities.
• Analyze sales metrics (calls, appointments, stage advancement, revenue) and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Manage sales technology tools (CRM, ticketing platforms, etc.) and ensure accurate data entry.
• Collaborate across departments (Service, Marketing, Operations, etc.) to align business objectives and enhance customer experience.
Revenue Generation and Sales Execution
• Develop and execute innovative sales campaigns and lead-generation initiatives.
• Assist with campaign planning, season ticket renewals, and member outreach initiatives.
• Set clear expectations, provide resources, and track performance throughout campaign windows.
• Plan and coordinate special sales and membership events to drive new revenue and engagement.
Additional Responsibilities
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• Strategic thinker, capable of identifying opportunities, analyzing data, and implementing successful sales tactics.
• Proficiency in CRM platforms, analytics tools, and presentation software to track performance and enhance sales efforts.
• Commitment to delivering a white-glove service experience, ensuring client satisfaction and long-term retention.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for diverse audiences.
• Flexible availability, including the willingness to work evenings, weekends, and select holidays as required for games and events.
Experience/ Education Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, sports management, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• 3-5 years of outbound focused sales experience within the sports or entertainment industry.
Preferred Criteria:
• 1 years' experience managing sales teams in the sports or entertainment industry
