Lead Building Support Technician
Verizon 5G Performance Center
Phoenix, Arizona
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Building Support Technician to join our team. In this high-impact role, you will support all facets of the operational function of the facility before, during, and after an event as well as assisting with converting the facility to an event-ready status.
What You Will Do:
This position will perform duties which include, but are not limited to:
• Primary contact for 3rd party vendors to cleaning (outside housekeeping ((ABM)), power washing, window cleaning, etc.)
• Scheduling cleaning staff both in house and 3rd party vendors
• Primary contact for events staff
• Schedule support staff when needed for event coverage
• Inventory and order supplies
• Sweep and mop floors
• Clean and maintain washrooms, dressing rooms, office spaces, and facility access areas
• Clean glass & other surfaces
• Collect and empty garbage receptacles
• Participate in the preparation, setup, and completion of conversions
• Interact with internal departments to meet their day-to-day building needs
• Operate with a sense of urgency while prioritizing facility needs
• Collaborate with full-time/part-time staff to ensure facility needs are met
• Complete setup sheets specific to each event
• Practice current OSHA standards
• Other duties as assigned
What we need from our Lead Building Support Technician:
• Maintain day-to-day building cleanliness
• Be responsive to the needs of guests, vendors, and staff
• Promptly report all maintenance issues
• Adhere to all safety and infection control procedures to ensure sanitary conditions
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance
• Follow verbal and written instruction
• Have experience and knowledge in operation with current OSHA standards
• Must be able to carry on a conversation both on the phone and in person
• Ability to Read, Write & Speak in English
• Ability to transit around the facility for extended periods
• Works with Chemicals/Hazardous Materials
• Develop, manage, and prioritize event setup sheets
• Communicate via work radio
• Strong time management skills
• Team player
• Basic computer skills preferred
Experience/ Education Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
